Different hardware and system configurations are available for the use of TrichoScan. Depending on the use case, cloud-based or desktop-based solutions may be suitable.
What matters is suitability for standardized, reproducible and analyzable images. On this page you will find information about compatible systems, technical requirements, and integration and partnership options.
Basic principle
TrichoScan is not tied to a single camera system. What matters is that the technical requirements for reliable analysis are met. These include suitable optics, sufficient image quality, reproducible magnification, and standardized imaging conditions.
System variants
- Cloud-based application: for example in combination with HEINE DERManager
- Desktop application: for compatible systems with the TrichoScan database and analysis software
- Integration: integration into existing or new systems with a suitable technical basis
Which option makes sense depends on the application area, the available hardware, and the desired usage scenario.

What matters technically
For reliable TrichoScan use, standardized and reproducible images are especially important. This includes in particular:
- sufficient optical resolution
- suitable and homogeneous lighting
- stable focusing
- reproducible magnification
- a sufficiently large and comparable image area

Integration into existing systems
TrichoScan can be integrated into different device and system environments. In addition to existing solutions, the development of new, application-specific systems is also possible.
This ranges from classic dermatoscopy systems to complete solutions for defined use cases, for example in practices, studies or within product and marketing applications.
